Tini Bigs Welcomes Venerated Mixologist Jamie Boudreau
Seattle's Premier Cocktail Lounge Adds Innovative New Cocktails to Program

SEATTLE, Wash.-(October 22, 2008)-Award-winning cocktail mecca Tini Bigs has long been recognized for its finger-on- the-pulse approach to cocktails. Staying true to form, the folks at Tini Bigs have added one of the most well-known, respected and pioneering mixologists in the world to its team: Jamie Boudreau.

Originally hailing from Montreal, Jamie Boudreau was lured from Vancouver, B.C. to Seattle to open VESSEL. During his tenure he was named "Best Bartender in Seattle 2007" by Seattle magazine. Renowned for championing obscure, intriguing and cutting-edge ingredients, Boudreau has been celebrated in dozens of national and international publications.

Boudreau has revamped the cocktail menu at Tini Bigs, offering a range of options for every palate. "Tini Bigs Originals" (served in signature voluminous 10 ounce cocktail glasses) remain but are joined by a carefully curated list of "Obscure Classics" (early 1800s to 1940s) and "Contemporary Creations." Served in more traditional glassware, drink recipes have been selected, perfected or invented by the master mixologist Boudreau himself.

"I've charted out the cocktail program to reflect a cross-section of all spirits with several cocktails styles within each spirits and we've preserved many of the Tini Bigs "martinis," comments Boudreau. "We've brought in new ingredients, glassware and are making the ice for our whiskies and bacon-infused Chocolat Cochon. What else is to come? Let's just say I'm excited to make proper cocktails behind a bar that was built in 1909."

Highlights from the Obscure and Contemporary selections on the new menu, all $9, include:

Chocolat Cochon
Bacon-infused Woodford Reserve bourbon, cherry, chocolate, amaro, and bitters
served with a single, giant, square ice cube

Rum Shrubb circa 1807
Appleton rum, blackberry, raspberry, sugar, red wine vinegar

Chamomile Sour
Chamomile-infused Famous Grouse scotch, lemon and egg whites

Widow's Kiss circa 1895
Calvados, Benedictine, Chartreuse, lemon and bitters

La Bicyclette
Gin, sweet vermouth, elderflower and peach bitters

Wine Cobbler circa 1800's
Pineau des Charentes, peach and grapefruit bitters, and orange juice

"Tini's was practically designed to serve prohibition era cocktails," says owner Keith Robbins. "Jamie's classic cocktails tie all the elements together, from our tin ceilings all the way to the 100-year-old back bar. It just makes sense." Tini Bigs is located at the bottom of Queen Anne Hill and the top of Belltown at 100 Denny Way, near the Seattle Center. Hours are 4 p.m. - 2 a.m. daily. Food is served until 10 p.m. Nationally recognized as one of Seattle's swankiest and innovative martini lounges, Tini Bigs features its award winning signature martini's along with prohibition era classic cocktails and globally inspired contemporary cocktails.
